Missoula County Public Schools hears feedback on education changes

The irony was not lost one afternoon last week when a YouTube video about "21st Century Schools" lagged because of low bandwidth.

So the nearly 100 people present in a community room of Missoula County Public Schools’ central office laughed. And waited. And waited some more.

It took a minute or two, but the video of Missoula fifth-graders interviewed about their wishes for education began streaming again.

Only to show a girl saying, "More Internet access."

The findings are collected in a 95-page report, "Review of Current Practices, Perceptions, and Perspectives," available at http://www.mcps.k12.mt.us.
