Stimson Lumber Co. cuts price of Bonner, Montana mill site from $16M to $11M

The price of the old Bonner mill site has been slashed from $16 million to $11 million in recent weeks.

"We’re a motivated seller, let’s put it that way," Jeff Webber of Stimson Lumber Co. http://www.stimsonlumber.com/ in Portland, Ore., said Tuesday.

One day after the Montana Department of Environmental Quality announced that all the PCB-contaminated soil from a cooling pond along the Blackfoot River was disposed of, Stimson and its real estate company, CB Richard Ellis of Tacoma, Wash., confirmed they have been talking with "a few" potential buyers.

"As of today we have not closed on any portion of the plant for sale," Webber said.
