Vision Net wows visitor – Technology erases miles for students

Bear Paw Development Corporation is a private non-profit organization created for the purpose of administering programs to help improve regional economic conditions in Hill, Blaine, Liberty, Chouteau and Phillips Counties and the Fort Belknap and Rocky Boy's Indian Reservations.

Great Falls-based Vision Net http://www.vision.net/home.php occasionally gets mentioned in national publications for its nationwide networking and other work, but company officials were pleasantly surprised to find themselves part of a human interest story that ran in a Florida newspaper last month http://www.tampabay.com/opinion/columns/technology-erases-miles-for-students/1144170 .

The article, published in the St. Petersburg Times, focuses on the author’s surprise that because of Montana’s vast geography some high school classes are taught via video conference. A big part of Vision Net’s business is offering video conferencing for educational organizations.
