Investing in students is investing in Montana

Higher education provides the tools for Montanans to be resilient and versatile in an economy whose demands are perpetually progressing.

Montana’s university system is populated by nearly 48,000 students on 14 different campuses. What it means to be a student in Montana’s universities depends on whom you ask.

Lucas Berry, a student at the University of Montana College of Technology, chose to pursue a degree in welding after moving to Missoula. Lucas works 30 hours a week at a local restaurant in order to finance his education in addition to being a full-time student and participating in student government.
