Gov. John Kasich introduces new private economic development corporation to replace Department of Development

Gov. John Kasich and Republican lawmakers laid the groundwork Thursday for Ohio’s new private, nonprofit corporation to replace the Ohio Department of Development and drive job creation.

The corporation, JobsOhio, will be funded with public and private money, including $1 million in public money for its startup.
