Idaho State University moves up in research ranking system

Idaho State University http://www.isu.edu/ has moved up in an important ranking system and as a result will be able to get grants more easily and attract better faculty and students, the school’s president says.

Arthur Vailas in an announcement on Tuesday said the school moved from Doctoral Research University to the category of Research University-High in rankings made by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.

“This reflects really mostly upon the outstanding contributions and work of the faculty within the university,” Vailas said.
