Transcat completes purchase of wind energy company

Transcat Inc. http://www.transcat.com has completed the acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Wind Turbine Tools Inc. http://www.windturbinetools.com/ and affiliated entities, the Ogden-based distributor of test and measurement instruments announced.

Wind Turbine Tools is recognized within the wind energy industry as a premier provider of product tool kits, technical assistance, torque calibration and hydraulic services, Transcat officials said Wednesday. Wind Turbine Tools founder, Jim Daugherty, will remain with Transcat as director of wind energy sales.
