Junior Achievement brings business skills to Billings students

Spray-on pantyhose and invisible stereo headphones may never prove to be iconic consumer goods along the lines of the iPod or the hula hoop.

But don’t tell a dozen Castle Rock Middle School eighth-graders that their products have no chance of surviving in the marketplace.

Students in Deb Glasoe’s World of Work class at Castle Rock Middle School recently had an opportunity to design advertising campaigns around the pantyhose, the headphones and a variety of other far-fetched products, including spray-on mud and contact lenses that stream video content directly into the user’s eyes.

The introduction to advertising was led by Glenn French, a local businessman who volunteers for Junior Achievement, a worldwide volunteer organization dedicated to improving students’ knowledge of business.
