Blame Climate Not Politicians for Weather-Beaten Cities – Montana Rep. Ed Butcher Says ‘Global Warming’ is a scam

Extreme weather events have had big city mayors across the world scrambling to clean up messes and prove their cities aren’t falling apart. But the real issue is the climate, not the politics.

"What you need to know is that your city — pretty much wherever it is — was built for a climate that it may no longer have. That’s going to mean tough commutes during the winter and spending more money on air conditioning in the summer. It’s going to mean that your city shuts down more often because some freaky thing happened that no one can remember happening in their lifetimes.

It’s going to mean the power’s going to go out because the electric system in your area wasn’t designed to handle the stresses it will be put under. Cities will have to get less efficient and more resilient. Redundancies will have to be built into systems that previously seemed to work just fine."

‘Global Warming’ is a scam

The "Global Warming” scam is finally “derailing” as the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) began quietly dying in July (but it is not yet completely dead) as trading in “Carbon Credits” virtually stopped. Reuters News Service reported on the lay-offs of CCX employees as resulting from “lack of U.S. action in climate change…” As this session of Congress winds down, it appears that the Democrats will not rescue this “boondoggle” perpetuated by the radical left.

Montana is not untouched by this Climate change “junk science” which is being promoted by university professors such as U of M Professors Running and former MT Secretary of State and governor candidate Bob Brown who have been “brain washing” impressionable students for nearly a decade. Unfortunately, the high school and elementary teachers trained in this environment continue promoting this radical philosophy as “science” to our children.

Dear Editor,

I’m writing in response to Ed Butcher’s guest opinion in the Dec. 22 New-Argus. As a rule, I try not to take the bait and waste valuable time reading “The Gospel according to Ed.” But the headline "Global Warming is a scam” got me.

Really, Ed? Really? It’s always been obvious that you consider yourself to be smarter than everybody else in Montana (especially anyone who happens to disagree with you). But now you’ve apparently decided that you’re smarter than pretty much the entire global scientific community as well?

Congratulations, Ed, there went whatever credibility you might have had left.

Sadly, while people like you are busy rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic, the polar ice caps continue to disappear at an alarming rate.
