Butte council denies Rocky Mountain Supercomputing Center $125,000 loan

Commissioners on Wednesday upheld a recommendation to deny a $125,000 loan for a Butte-based supercomputing company.

Operators of the Rocky Mountain Supercomputing Center http://www.rmscinc.org/ , 65 E. Broadway, were seeking the loan for expansions.

"We’re disappointed, we respect their decision and move forward and move on," Earl Dodd, executive director of the nonprofit, said Wednesday when contacted by cell phone.
