Ketchum, Idaho explores fostering economic development

"The town is in a death spiral"

Ketchum took the first step toward preparing a road map for economic development Tuesday night by bringing together a variety of organizations in an exercise to find common ground.

The idea: to get everyone agreeing on the end goals before tackling the nuts and bolts of how to achieve those goals.

The strategizing, to take place over the next five months, will aid the city in updating the 10-year-old Economic Development Chapter of its comprehensive plan.
