University of Montana President Royce Engstrom addresses Montana Tech’s College of Technology education concerns

The successes and failures of the entire state education system was much on the minds of a group of Butte businessmen and local lawmakers as they met with the newly installed University of Montana President Royce Engstrom http://www.umt.edu/president/ Friday at Montana Tech’s College of Technology http://www.mtech.edu/cot/ .

Engstrom concluded a whirlwind tour of the Tech campus and facilities with the evening meeting if about 25 people.

Engstrom is in favor of continued funding for the Montana Digital Academy http://matr.net/article-40724.html that "levels the playing field" for all students by giving them access to classes online that they can’t receive in their current high schools.
