Women 2.0 gives female-led startups a boost

Like many entrepreneurs before her, Kimberly Dillon moved to the Bay Area this summer with dreams of starting a company.

By early next year, Dillon plans to turn that dream into a reality with House of Mikko, a recommendation engine to help women, particularly women of color, find the right beauty products.

Women 2.0, a group that coaches would-be entrepreneurs and introduces them to many of the movers and shakers in Silicon Valley. Working primarily with women – though men participate, too – it’s been successful in creating more female high-tech leaders.
