Venture Northwest seeks to boost university commercialization in Oregon

Oregon’s entrepreneurial economy needs a wake-up call, according to Portland venture capitalist Diane Fraiman, who looks to the state’s universities to spawn a new generation of innovation.

For the annual Venture Northwest http://venturenw.org/ confab Thursday in downtown Portland, conference chairwoman Fraiman wants to spotlight technology commercialization at Oregon’s research universities.
