Billings School District 2 Trustees finish comprehensive study

With its new comprehensive demographic study ready for public consumption, Billings School District 2 trustees hope to put it to good use, rather than have it sit on a shelf collecting dust.

The board, which oversees a number of support committees, commissions a study or two every year, said board clerk Leo Hudetz. Some get used, others sit forgotten as the trustees who wanted the study leave the board and new trustees take their place.

"Because board makeup will always be changing, it’s critical to have a strategic plan," board chairwoman Barbara Bryan said. "And to have policies in place requiring the board to be guided by the plan and keep it updated."
