Stinger Welding prepares to expand operation and hire at Libby, Montana facility

Bridge fabricator Stinger Welding Inc. http://www.deckjoint.com/ plans to add at least 55 employees to its Libby workforce in the coming months in anticipation of the opening of its new facility, projected to be completed by March.

"Some of it’s weather-dependent, but everything being equal and according to plan right now, I’m hoping to be building bridge girders in that brand new plant sometime in the February-March timeframe," said Steve Patrick, vice president of Northwest Operations.

Concrete pourers are anticipated to finish the floor of the 100,000-square-foot plant in the Kootenai Business Park Industrial District by next week. Workers began Wednesday erecting enormous steel wall columns, the last of which will be put up in about 4-1/2 months, according to project manager Roy Baldwin.
