Montana students get look at possible careers

Middle school and high school students got the chance to get a hands-on look at their futures at a different kind of career fair on Tuesday.

Montana State University-Great Falls College of Technology hosted its annual Trades Rodeo at the Montana ExpoPark’s Trades and Industries building on Tuesday to give students an introduction into career fields outside of the four-year degree program.

Students got the opportunity to test their welding skills, learn about sprinkler systems and auto body finishes all under the same roof.

"The earlier we give them the options, the better," said Natalie Nefzger, recruitment program coordinator at MSU-GF.
