Forum series to highlight contentious Bitterroot Valley issues

Open-minded Bitterrooters seeking an opportunity to discuss the day’s local, hot-button issues will get the chance to do just that over the next two months as a new discussion forum series begins.

Sponsored by Humanities Montana and the University of Montana’s Center for Ethics, the series kicks off Monday evening at 5 p.m. with a discussion on wolf reintroduction at the Bitter Root Brew Pub in Hamilton.

The series is a continuation of a Montana State University program that organized a 26-lecture schedule in Bozeman last year.

According to forum organizer and UM student Zack Rogala, the series is aimed at sparking thoughtful local discussion and factual analysis of issues which too often get lost in rhetoric.
