Utah leadership group pays visit to Livingston, Montana

From taxes to Twitter, Livingston-area leaders on Friday swapped ideas for running cities and building community with a 55-person delegation from Park City, Utah.

The group, made up of members of a leadership class plus community leaders and local government administrators, met with local residents including City of Livingston officials and directors of local nonprofit organizations at the City-County Complex.

The group visited other towns, including Big Sky and Bozeman, during its five-day trip through Montana to learn from other communities, said Miles Rademan, a consultant who works with Park City local government and who organized the trip.

Despite differences between Park City and Livingston — including Park City’s higher median income — attendees found they had common issues ranging from tax structures to engaging citizens.
