Seacast to build jet engine parts for General Electric in Butte, Montana

SeaCast will build high-tech parts for jet engines for a General Electric subsidiary at its new Butte facility, the company announced Monday at the Montana Economic Development Summit.

The Marysville, Wash.-based corporation is working on a partnership with Unison Industries LLC to build components that go into jet engines, said Matt Kress, Unison director of operations. Unison is a wholly owned subsidiary of GE based in Ohio that produces electrical and mechanical jet engine components for general, commercial and military aircraft, as well as parts for the space and other industries, according to the company Internet site.
