Sen Baucus Touts New Energy Jobs Training Facility In SouthCentral Montana – Pure Energy

Baucus Announces Nationally Recognized Firm to Open MT Training Center in October

Montana’s senior U.S. Senator, Max Baucus announced today a job-creation development from the Montana Economic Development Summit. Nationally-recognized energy conservation and efficiency firm, Pure Energy http://www.pureenergyaudits.com/ , announced that it will open an energy efficiency training center between Lavina and Roundup in October.

“After visiting with folks this summer in Golden Valley and Musselshell Counties – it’s clear to me they’re looking for innovative ways to put their good work-ethic and know-how to use. That’s why this new partnership with Pure Energy is such great news.” said Baucus. “Pure Energy has the good leadership to see the potential of the good folks in South Central Montana and provide the training and tools they need to land good-paying jobs.”

The Pure Energy Center and Ranch will provide energy efficiency training programs and certifications for people in Montana’s construction industry and for those who need to be re-skilled to meet today’s energy savvy customers. Pure Energy Owner, A. Tamasin Sterner, shared plans for the new facility during a panel discussing “Energy Efficiency: Montana Options for Training and Certification” as part of Baucus’ Montana Economic Development Summit in Butte.

“I was thrilled to be contacted by Senator Baucus’ staff about the Summit!” said Sterner. “The timing was perfect to support Montanans in getting the training and certifications they need to stay competitive with many other states when it comes to the smart business of energy conservation and energy efficiency.”

The Pure Energy Center’s 212 acre campus includes a training center plus several buildings for hands-on training in building diagnostics with state-of-the-art equipment. Courses will include energy auditing and Home Performance training for remodelers and builders, indoor air quality training for health professionals and a course series called “Green Jobs for Women.”

The theme of Baucus’ 5th Montana Economic Development is “Montana Solutions for Montana Jobs.” Past summits have yielded key investment opportunities for Montana firms, national corporations deciding to open new facilities in Montana, and expanded global trade opportunities for Montana producers and manufacturers.
