The objective of the Montana Manufacturing Extension Center (MMEC) is to enhance the competitiveness and profitability of Montana manufacturers by providing technical, engineering, and managerial assistance.

# Responsibilities

The person in this position will:

Analyze, improve, and administer appropriate and effective business systems for the Center including financial activities — budgets, expenditures, and revenue generation; invoicing; accounts receivable; client tracking and evaluation; reporting to various funding agencies; memos of understanding (MOUs) with MMEC partners, identifying and documenting grant cost sharing funds; contracting with clients regarding field agent services; and contracting with consultants to provide services on behalf of the Center.

# Assist in the process of identifying and securing external funding through grant requests and other methods that will expand and enhance the Center’s mission to help manufacturers be more successful: work with the Pre-Award Office and other private and public sources to find opportunities; develop and foster positive relationships with granting agencies; serve as point person in coordinating submission of proposals; work with the Center director to coordinate initiation of select new initiatives.

# Supervise administrative support positions.

Salary $49,000+, depending on experience. This position is funded for one year with renewal dependent upon performance and availability of funds.
