Michigan offers incubator competition

If you run a startup with less than $1 million in sales, Michigan might just have $500,000 with your name on it — provided you’re willing to move to the Wolverine State.

Michigan says it is offering the world’s largest cash prize of any incubator program in order to attract the most promising young companies. Even if your pitch doesn’t win the top prize, there’s $150,000 for the runner-up, plus nine additional awards of $25,000 each for the best pitch by sector.
