Montana’s Going to the Sun Rally benefits veterans

For the sixth year, philanthropic car enthusiasts are preparing their Jaguars, Shelbys, Ferraris, Aston Martins, and other valuable vintage vehicles for the Going to the Sun Rally http://goingtothesunrally.org/ .

The scenic, charitable trip through Montana and surrounding states, which kicks off Monday, has become a not-to-miss event for many participants.

The theme of this year’s Rally is "Grateful for the Morning" which honors Montana men, women and families who serve Montana and the United States.

Inspiration for this year’s theme came from rally members Jim Edwards and Barbara Christenson, who donated a 1982 collector’s edition Corvette to the "Vetts4Vets" cause http://goingtothesunrally.org/charity/vetts4vets/ . A raffle for the Corvette has generated more than $20,000 in ticket sales so far. All raffle proceeds will benefit Montana’s disabled veterans.
