State launches Montana Digital Academy – Free Online Classes for High School Students

Montana students don’t have to go back to school to take advantage of the first statewide digital classroom. The new Montana Digital Academy http://www.montanadigitalacademy.org/ allows them to sign up and take classes for school credit whenever they want on the Internet.

The online school is aimed at giving students more choices, like world language and AP classes they might not have the option to take at their current schools. It’s a publicly supported program and is, therefore, free to students.

The digital academy is the newest of 34 state virtual schools in the country and it is the only one partnering with a university: The University of Montana.
