Bozeman, Montana humanitarian Greg "Three Cups of Tea" Mortenson to appear on Sunday morning talk shows

Bozeman humanitarian Greg Mortenson will appear on C-SPAN’s "Washington Journal" Sunday morning to discuss the flood disaster in Pakistan and the stability of the region.

He is also scheduled to appear in an interview on CBS’s "Face the Nation" program the same day, Aug. 22, at 8:30 a.m. Mountain time.

The C-SPAN program, a live show, offers listeners a chance to call in with comments and questions, Mortenson said Thursday. He will be interviewed for 45 minutes, from 5:45 to 6:30 a.m., local time.

Mortenson is the founder of the Bozeman-based nonprofit Central Asia Institute, which promotes education, especially for girls, in remote areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan. He is also the author of "Three Cups of Tea" and "Stones Into Schools."
