Mini-Cassia gets kudos for strong economic development

Regional economic development experts attribute Mini-Cassia’s continued growth to a good economic development team.

The Southern Idaho Economic Development Organization’s Executive Director Jan Rogers visited the Burley City Council Tuesday, saying most of the new business opportunities in the region during the past three years have landed in Mini-Cassia area — particularly in Burley and Heyburn.

“You guys need to know that you have a very strong team in place in the Mini-Cassia area,” Rogers said, adding that without Burley Economic Developer Doug Manning and City Administrator Mark Mitton, as well as an active council, the growth would not have occurred.
