Responsibility key for living in wildland-urban interface – It’s all about fire

Recently, I was blessed to participate in a unique and truly wonderful training event for residents of the Painted Rocks and West Fork fire districts. Called resident fire training, community members of those volunteer fire departments educated participants about surviving wildfire by way of videos, talks and walks. We did a lot of sharing about our experiences in the 2000 fires and what we have learned from those experiences.
