All Missoula County Public Schools high schools, middle schools fail to reach federal education targets

Despite another year of rising test scores, half of the schools in the Missoula County Public Schools http://www.mcps.k12.mt.us/portal/default.aspx district failed to reach education targets set by the federal government for 2010, according to new data released by the state.

None of MCPS’ four high schools and three middle schools made Adequate Yearly Progress, or AYP, the federal benchmarks for math, reading, attendance and graduation rates.

All but one elementary school, however, passed.
