Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. in Butte, Montana works to improve titanium manufacturing

Since World War II there has been one time-consuming, expensive, inefficient way to make titanium metal.

Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. http://www.utrs.com/index.html , a New Jersey-based company with a research and development center in Butte, is trying to change that.

Six local employees have been working for nearly four years on the project, and feel they are on the verge of a breakthrough.

Headquarters has signed off on a move to a new 9,000-square-foot, $750,000 building in the Industrial Park south of Butte, and high quality furnaces and other materials are being flown in for a September opening.
