* Entries must describe an idea for a legitimate invention or business that may be lawfully operated in the United States and that focuses on a mechanical or procedural product or service that optimizes and enhances environmentally responsible energy production.

* Open to individual inventors or innovative small businesses with less than $5 million in annual revenues.

* Applicants must reside or be based in Utah.
