American Prairie Reserve E-Eewsletter June 2010: New Visitors’ Map Now Available

Dear Friends of American Prairie Reserve,

What a beautiful time of the year to take in the delights of spring on the prairie – wildflowers in profuse bloom, the songs of grassland birds in the air and new life in wonderful abundance. This month, we introduce our visitors’ map of the reserve and look forward to another site visit with Montana Wilderness Association.

The very successful First Annual Prairie Classic Bike Race challenged riders with early spring weather, and WWF Northern Great Plains reports on their pronghorn migration study.

A showing of National Geographic’s American Serengeti was featured at Fort Belknap college, and we’re reading a new biography of Theodore Roosevelt. We welcome new animal and plant life appearing on the prairie. A big thank you goes out to all of you for keeping this exciting project moving forward. Please come visit soon!

Sincerely,

Sean Gerrity
APF President
