Butte to launch Montana Folk Festival in 2011

With the handoff of the National Folk Festival from Butte to Nashville, the Montana Folk Festival was born.

Planning and fundraising are already underway for the first year of the Montana Folk Festival that will take place next July 8, 9 and 10.

George Everett of Main Street Uptown Butte says the local festival organizers have all gained an immense amount of experience over the past three years and will put it to good use with the new festival.

He says everything will be the same, except for one thing.
