34 Days Left to Sign Up for FREE Computer Training and Certification in Montana

The Montana Department of Labor and Industry announced today that the public has approximately 34 days left to take advantage of the ‘Elevate America’ FREE computer
e-learning courses on programs like; Microsoft Office, WORD, Excel, PowerPoint, along with certification exams and advanced IT professional courses. The voucher availability will expire on Wednesday, August 18, 2010. "We want to ensure that everyone who wants to take advantage of this opportunity has the chance before time runs out," said Labor Commissioner Keith Kelly

‘Elevate America’ is an innovative public-private partnership between Montana’s Department of Labor and Industry and the Microsoft Corporation.

"To have a strong economy, you have to have a strong workforce and ‘Elevate America’ offers a great way for our workers to ramp up their computer readiness to have an edge in the job market," said Governor Brian Schweitzer.

Montana’s Department of Labor and Industry announced the program in May, and voucher codes for free access to Microsoft e-learning programs are currently available to the public, on a ‘first-come, first-served basis’, at the website: http://www.jobs.mt.gov click on ‘Elevate America’.

One e-learning voucher can be redeemed for one e-learning "collection". An e-learning collection is made up of several e-learning courses. Once an e-learning collection is activated, a person will have 12 months of access and use of the courses.

Certification takes place at these local Certiport testing sites: Montana Certiport Sites. Certiport sites will be running statewide through August 18, 2010.
