Ex-economist comes home to Montana to start cool Heights shop

Billings Senior High School graduate Dan Gold happily headed off to Philadelphia to study at the noted Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He earned an undergraduate degree in economics, concentrating in financial management, and then landed a job at Q Advisors in Denver, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions in the technology and telecommunications industries.

There was just one hitch. Gold wanted to come home.

“All I want to do is get back to Montana. I was gone about seven years,” he said.
