The Leader to Leader Institute

This is the first of a multi-part series where I’m going to introduce readers to some outstanding free leadership development resources.

Disclosure: They all are individuals or organizations that I’ve developed positive relationships with over the years. These are NOT paid sponsorships. They are just "thank-you cards" – my way of expressing my respect and appreciation.

The Leader to Leader Institute was established in 1990 as the Peter F. Drucker Foundation for Nonprofit Management. Frances Hesselbein is the President and CEO and its Founding President. Frances was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the United States of America’s highest civilian honor, in 1998. The award recognized her leadership as CEO of Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. from 1976-1990, her role as the Founding President of the Drucker Foundation, and her service as “a pioneer for women, volunteerism, diversity and opportunity.”

Peter Drucker once referred to her as “the greatest leader in the country”. That’s right, not "a great leader" – THE greatest leader.
