State launches film training program

The Idaho Film Office http://www.filmidaho.org/ is launching a new program that will provide grants of up to $5,000 to help media and film workers in the state get hands-on production experience.

The film office, part of the Idaho Department of Commerce’s Division of Tourism Development office, is setting aside $20,000 to create a pilot program http://www.filmidaho.org/workshops.aspx that’s designed to drum up more activity in Idaho’s nascent film industry.
