Forum on June 3 will look into what defines downtown Great Falls, Montana

Robert Smith, a VISTA volunteer with the Great Falls Development Authority and NeighborWorks Great Falls, has spent 10 months investigating what defines downtown Great Falls.

He interviewed dozens of people to learn what the assets, problems and issues of the city’s core are.

One thing he heard repeatedly is that there is not enough connection between downtown entities.

"People say things downtown are too scattered and that not enough people know what is available there," Smith said. "They also want a strong connection between downtown and the city’s parks and the river."
