Idaho property tax exemptions provide breaks for businesses

A bill that received little attention before it was signed into law earlier this year by Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter, is now receiving plenty of interest by Idaho companies hoping to lower their property taxes.

The new law allows businesses to exempt more of their facilities from property tax rolls, even making it retroactive back to 2008.
