The City of Butte Silver-Bow County, Montana Selects Logistic Systems, Inc. (LogiSYS) for its Public Safety CAD and RMS Solution

Butte Silver-Bow County, MT has selected Logistic Systems, Inc. http://www.logistic-systems.com to provide a county-wide Public Safety Enterprise Computing System and other peripherals for Fire, Law Enforcement, and Emergency Medical Services. The project includes a state-of-the-art Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System, Records Management System, an Enhanced 911 System, and other equipment that will make Butte Silver-Bow County one of the most advanced 911 centers in the country.

This project represents a major milestone because of the historical significance of Butte and Silver-Bow County in the growth of Montana. This is the third Montana countywide project for Missoula based Logistic Systems, Inc. Butte and Silver-Bow County serve a population of 55,716 encompassing an area over 3,400 square miles. The CAD system will be centrally located in Butte but will service 911 calls from throughout the County. The City’s Fire and Police Departments, the County’s Sheriff Department and other emergency service providers in the area rely on the Butte Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to dispatch all of their 911 calls.

In implementing the LogiSYS CAD and RMS solutions, the City and County will have previously entered information readily available during an emergency situation. The ability to provide correct response and contact information to an emergency responder is critically important in today’s 911 environment.

A caller’s address will be checked against an existing map database to determine past history, hazards, and other information to keep the responding personnel informed as to what they may encounter at a particular location. Images of building floor plans, apartment and area footprints, and photos can be stored online for immediate reference. The integrated RMS will manage the information to provide more accurate and up to date statistical data. These state of the art systems are also capable of handling the new FCC mandated wireless caller identification and location capabilities.

"We look forward to moving into our new 9-1-1 Communications Center next year, which will feature state-of-the-art technology from LogisSYS. We feel that this fully integrated environment will enable us to provide the highest standard of Public Safety services to the citizens of Butte-Silver Bow" said Kathleen Lasky, the 9-1-1 Coordinator for Butte and Silver-Bow County.

"Logistic Systems, Inc. is very happy to begin this partnership with the City of Butte and Silver-Bow County. We have provided many mission critical public safety solutions all over North America and are sometimes overlooked in our own backyard. We are proud to be a Montana Company. We are also very proud to add the City of Butte and Silver-Bow County to the LogiSYS family. We want all of Montana’s, State and Local Governments to know that LogiSYS is open for business and we are doing what we can to keep our local economy healthy," said Charles Stortz, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Logistic Systems, Inc.
