Federal assistance for Montana companies

Dear Montana Economic Development Professionals,

I wanted to remind you about the NW Trade Adjustment Assistance program. We are a US Department of Commerce program designed to assisting US companies that are impacted by foreign imports. We offer up to $75,000 in matching federal grants for Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington companies that qualify for our program.

In order to qualify, a company must demonstrate that their business has been negatively impacted by foreign competition.

Eligible companies can use the funding on technical assistance projects aimed at improving their competitiveness including marketing, website redesign, lean manufacturing, quality control certification and product or facility design, among many others. However, our funding cannot be used by an eligible company to purchase assets, such as equipment.

I have attached a brochure with more information about our program and would encourage you to visit our website at: http://www.nwtaac.org for more information.

If you have any questions, would like to learn more, or know of any Montana companies that might be interested in receiving assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact me or pass along my contact information.

Sincerely,

Patrick Meuleman
