Good news blowing in on Montana’s robust winds

The timing couldn’t have been better.

On the same day as wind-power generator Invenergy announced plans to participate as a financier and provider of electricity for a proposed transmission line between Great Falls and Townsend, Great Falls experienced winds up to 45 mph.

It served to underscore that the area does have winds as voluminous as anyone in the country.

Invenergy’s announcement contained a couple of other nuggets of significance to the area.
