Montana State University students to protest to keep microbiology as a department.

Microbiology students http://www.montana.edu/wwwmb/ are planning a rare public protest at Montana State University today to oppose a decision to end microbiology’s status as a department .

The decision to merge the small microbiology department into a yet-to-be-decided larger department came just as MSU announced plans for a $17 million renovation of Cooley Lab, where microbiology and other research is conducted.
