The Kauffman Foundation http://www.kauffman.org/ will provide scholarships to 1,000 Michigan residents to enroll in its FastTrac for Entrepreneurs program, Gov. http://www.fasttrac.org/ Jennifer Granholm said Thursday at an event at Western Michigan University.

The scholarships, offered on a first-come, first-serve basis, will cover the full cost of the 10-week program that is offered through the state’s Small Business Technology and Development Centers.

“We intend to foster a culture of entrepreneurism,” Granholm told the approximately 50-person audience gathered at WMU’s Haworth College of Business.
