Keeping, attracting talent for Idaho

How will the Boise Valley, and other regions in Idaho, compete in the ongoing struggle for talent? Will our region/state have the workforce needed to fill the jobs of tomorrow?

Having a young, diverse, highly skilled, and educated workforce is vital to a community’s economic development efforts. Communities that successfully attract, develop, and retain talented people have become magnets for luring coveted high-paying companies to expand and relocate in their local marketplace.

To focus on these important challenges, the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce launched a program called the Boise Young Professionals (BYP) http://www.boiseyp.org/ , which is dedicated to attracting, developing, and retaining young talent. BYP acts as a catalyst to connect, empower, and engage young professionals (YPs) throughout the Boise Valley, and has assisted similar groups throughout Idaho.
