Idaho State University professor to work on bomb-finding technology

An Idaho State University physics professor says he will develop technology to detect bombmaking materials hidden in cargo shipments now that he’s received paperwork needed to finalize a U.S. patent.

Phil Cole says the patent gives him exclusive rights to a bomb-detecting method that uses high-energy electron beams to probe material stored deep in cargo shipments.
