Making Government IT work

As states struggle to close historic budget gaps, potential new responsibilities – including national health care reform and government downsizing – will force many to overhaul outmoded computer systems over the next two years. Though notoriously difficult to pull off, major Information Technology upgrades can save states millions in personnel and other operating costs.
