Program to improve graduation rates launched in Missoula today. "Graduation Matters Missoula"

Missoula County Public Schools Superintendent Alex Apostle today launched a community-wide effort to improve graduation rates with a straightforward mission statement:

"Goal No. 1 is that all students will graduate," Apostle said. "That is a huge goal. A constancy of purpose will ensure this happens."

The idea behind the program, "Graduation Matters Missoula," http://graduationmattersmissoula.com/ is to make that happen.

Speakers at Tuesday’s formal launch at the University of Montana’s Phyllis J. Washington Education Center emphasized the importance of a good education, reminding the high school students in attendance of the difficulties of success for dropouts.
