Happy Glacier National Park Centennial Year– January eNews!

Due to endless efforts by thousands of employees, partners,
communities, and visitors, Glacier National Park
has been formally preserved for one hundred consecutive
years. Glacier’s significance of place and meaning lies in
its cultural worth, nearly intact ecosystem, and international
importance.

As many of you know, Glacier National Park was established
on May 11, 1910 as the nation’s tenth national
park. The park is supporting a team of over 70 volunteers,
including our tireless park partners to help plan and implement
a community-based Centennial Program ensuring
that our 100th anniversary is a legacy to be remembered.
We hope that you, in addition to all of our visitors, partners,
communities, and employees, will take the opportunity
to engage in the activities that are designed to observe
Glacier National Park’s 100th anniversary.
