University salaries on radar: Higher percentage of UM administrators in top tier than at MSU
January 10, 2010 /
Of the 1,800 full-time faculty and staff who work on the University of Montana campus, 152 earn more than $100,000 a year, according to data released by UM.
Of those top wage earners, 20 percent are women, 30 percent are administrators, 3 percent are athletic coaches, and the rest are researchers and the university’s top professors.
There are many reasons onlookers are paying greater attention to salaries these days – pay freezes, furloughs and new high-profile hires like football coaches and university presidents.
